Hailing from Edinburgh, this trio offer an upbeat sound and a tongue and cheek attitude which ultimately combine to make some rather bouncy pop melodies. This is the kind of indie/pop sound that will fair well in the mainstream, and can probably be compared to such bands like Pidgeon Detectives. Though with a piano lead sound this is their unique stamp on the popular genre and a powerful tool in terms of seperating them from the pack of other indie-pop bands kicking around.
After two years together they have begun to get their tunes out to buy on iTunes and Spotify and a video for their new single – All Your Base Are Belong To Us. This year continues to seem an ever more promising one for The Marvels, as they recently played this months Haddowfest, next month sees the boys travelling down to London to perfrom with Johnny Foreigner, The Matinee and Pose Victorious before performing at Edinburgh’s magnificent Usher Hall with fellow Edinburgh band Jakil later on in the month of May.
