Dot To Dot Organiser Anton Lockwood said: “This is what Dot To Dot is all about! The exciting new bands who are announced today add to a strong line-up of established acts (and the odd new one we’ve sneaked out already). In previous years people like Mumford & Sons, The xx, Klaxons, Temper Trap and Foals have all played breakthrough sets at Dot To Dot. Who’ll be your pick from this year’s crop of talent?”
Bands confirmed for Dot To Dot 2011 this week include self-proclaimed Scottish fight pop six-piece Dananananaykroyd, alt-electro five piece Morning Parade, shimmering indie-disco merchants Trophy Wife, anthemic psychedelic indie from Fixers Swedish goth tinged electro-pop stars Niki & the Dove, New Jersey based singer songwriter Allie Moss who caught the public imagination with her lauded track ‘Corner’, a live set from ghost-stepper Becoming Real and the psych folk stylings of Colourmusic,
Plus there will be post punk soul and funk from Foreign Office sizzling beats and melodies from Get People, futuristic sibling duo Hot Horizons, rocky electro vibes from Is Tropical, the luscious soundscapes of Lanterns On The Lake, Girls Against Boys spin-off Paramount Styles, Stax influenced singer songwriter Pete Lawrie, high octane glam from Romance grunge pop tour de force Stagecoach, shimmering synth action from Swimming, Manchester’s fastest rising stars The Kill Van Kulls, Wolverhampton indie rockers The Lines, the very hotly tipped To Kill A King, shabby Motown popsters Various Cruelties, Danish rockers Veto, and the raw and bluesy Zebedy Rays .
As well as all the new bands Dot To Dot is pleased to announce the venues taking part in this year’s Dot To Dot for each of the three cities.
